Built to Spill has been forced to reschedule its spring tour due to a serious injury suffered by a member of the band.
The national tour, set to coincide with the release of Built to Spill’s upcoming release, You in Revers, was postponed after frontman Doug Martsch had to undergo emergency surgery for a detached retina. Due to the significant recovery time necessary for that kind of surgery, the band pushed the tour’s start date (initially scheduled for April 11) back to June 9, according to the band’s MySpace page.
All tickets purchased for the last tour will be honored or refundable.
The new tour will kick off in Calgary, Alberta, and will finish up in Lubbock, Texas on October 21.
