Courtney Love Ditches Drugs, Collaborates with Corgan

It’s been a long, hard, drug addled road to sobriety for Courtney Love, but the Hole frontwoman says she finally has her drug problems under control. E! Online reports that Love has “put a very gnarly drug problem behind [her].” Love has been in and out of court-ordered rehab for the past couple of years, and just last week a judge ruled Courtney is no longer relegated to a live-in rehab program and can continue her rehabilitation at home. Love is currently concentrating on writing new songs for a forthcoming Hole album, the band’s first since 1998’s Celebrity Skin.

According to Rollingstone.com, Love is collaborating with ex-Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan on the new material, which includes a song called “How Dirty Girls Get Clean.” Corgan also worked with Love on Celebrity Skin. No word yet on when the new material will be released, but Love told Rollingstone.com, “I’ve been really inspired lately…and have remained inspired.”
