Dylan to Host Show on XM Radio

First Howard Stern moves to the digital radio format and now another American Icon –albeit of a different stripe — Bob Dylan, is hitting the airwaves. Dylan will host an hour-long music show for XM’s Deep Tracks channel. The Deep Tracks channel has a classic rock format, and such hall-of-famers as Mick Fleetwood and Tom Petty have appeared on the station in the past. Bobby D will be interviewing other rockers as well as answering listener email on air. According to an official statement from Dylan, “A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I’ve ever been on the other side of the mic. It’ll be as exciting for me as it is for XM.” Dylan’s show will debut in March 2006.
