It’s official: The New Year will bring a new Strokes record, on January 3 to be exact. The first single off First Impressions of Earth, “Juicebox,” was officially released to radio on October 3, and to iTunes on October 4, but a bootlegged version hit the ‘net weeks earlier. “Juicebox” was an instant success at radio, garnering the most adds for the Strokes since 2001’s “Last Nite.” Earth is co-produced by David Kahane and Gordon Raphael; the latter produced both Is This It and Room on Fire.
