Pearl Jam has always been about subverting “the Man.” First it was their campaign against high ticket prices, then it was their sanctioned bootlegs, and now Eddie Vedder and co. are offering their own digital download store via their website. According to Billboard.com, starting September 1, Pearl Jam will offer full concerts from their fall tour. Each show can be downloaded for $9.99 and will include artwork and a concert photo slideshow. The concert files will be encoded without Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions, which means they can be burned and transferred to iPods and other digital media players ad infinitum. This way you can enjoy your live Vedder without a hitch.
