Billie Joe Armstrong has been confirmed to reprise his Broadway role in the movie adaptation of Green Day's American Idiot, set to be directed by Michael Mayer and produced by Tom Hanks' Playtone Productions. Back in January, Mayer, who helmed the Broadway production, hinted that Armstrong would be cast in the part of St. Jimmy: "I think it's a no-brainer," he said. The movie is slated to open in 2013. …
