Underworld at the Movies

Electronic music duo Underworld and Oscar-winning composer Gabriel Yared have teamed up to score the new Anthony Minghella film, Breaking and Entering. Minghella, who has previously worked with Yared on Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and The English Patient (for which he won the Oscar), was thrilled about the addition of Underworld on the soundtrack. “Witnessing Gabriel, Karl and Rick in a room together was a revelation,” Minghella said in a statement. “Musicians instinctively understand each other through playing together, a contract of generosity was established.” The film, which stars Jude Law and Juliette Binoche, is due out January 2007.
