The Knife’s Karin Dreijer Andersson Sings ‘Heartbeats’ Karaoke While Bill Murray Watches

The Knife Karin 'Heartbeats' Bill Murray Karaoke

We’ll bet good money that Bill Murray’s week beats your year. In fact, the legendary actor’s Thursday night was probably more fun than anything you’ve done in 2014. As BrooklynVegan reports, Murray had quite the evening in New York City, and the Knife, Emma Stone, and Sharon Van Etten were all involved.

First, Van Etten posted the photo below showing Murray and Stone playing the piano at the Edison Hotel’s Rum House bar. At the same time, nine blocks north, Swedish duo the Knife were performing the second of two shows at Terminal 5, the last gig of their North American tour. The group ended up celebrating the trek’s finale at West Village club the Westway, and somehow Murray ended up there. To make the party even more special, Knife singer Karin Dreijer Andersson sang a karaoke version of their signature song “Heartbeats,” which they didn’t perform on this tour. Apparently, the song got performed twice, with Andersson hopping up to sing on the second go-round, all while Murray busted some moves on the dance floor. We can only assume that Murray’s phone wasn’t working properly, because he never texted us with an invite.
