As Billy Corgan continues to prepare two new Smashing Pumpkins albums with Tommy Lee, he's also simultaneously looking backwards for a forthcoming reissue of his band's downcast 1998 album Adore. That massive seven-CD set will feature 107 tracks in total, including a number of outtakes and alternate versions, and today the synthesizer enthusiast has shared the first of those previously unheard tracks, a rendition of "Let Me Give the World to You" from the Adore sessions.

Reportedly produced by Rick Rubin, this sparse version is distinct from the jangly, glitzy iteration that appeared on Machina II/The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music. Though it was initially recorded for inclusion on Adore, the track shares a certain gloomy sensibility with the dour material on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, which means its pretty essential listening.

You can stream the track below. The Adore box set is out on September 23, but a preorder is ongoing now.
