Hear Saturday Looks Good to Me’s Lovelorn Stomper ‘Break In’

One Kiss Can Lead to Another was the title of an essential 2005 box set of ’60s girl-group sounds. On “Break In,” a new single with tuneful girl-group touches from Ann Arbor indie-poppers Saturday Looks Good to Me, recent vocal additions Carol Catherine and Amber Fellows sing, in harmony, “One kiss ends it all.” That turns out to be the title of the band’s upcoming album, One Kiss Ends It All, which is due out May 21 on Polyvinyl Records. Contrary to the refrain, this Motown-stomping, horn-embellished confection — with heaps of fuzz-soaked jangle and a leftfield a-cappella outro — is the type of listen that can lead to another.
