Next year, all signs point to Röyksopp at last following up their 2010 album Senior. In November, the Norwegian electronic duo shared the new single "Running to the Sea," and now we have "Twenty Thirteen" featuring Jamie McDermott from the Irrepressibles, arriving just ahead of the closing bell for its titular year. Over an old-timey big-band jazz lurch, the track transports the listener to the Prohibition Era, and also lyrically channels "Auld Lang Syne" in parts. The song looks back fondly on the year about to pass: "2013, still in my heart / the music and the stars." It's nothing like the pair's other work of late — you're welcome to compare and contrast "Twenty Thirteen" with "Running" below. Also, look out for Robyn and Röyksopp to hit the road together in 2014, fresh off of a yet-unheard new studio collaboration.
