Michael Jackson’s Teenage Daughter, Paris, Attempts Suicide

Paris Jackson Suicide Attempt Hospital Michael

Paris Jackson has been hospitalized following a suicide attempt. Billboard reports family members have confirmed that the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson tried to take her own life in the wee hours of the morning. She was rushed out of her Calabasas, California home on a stretcher around 2 a.m., says TMZ, and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. They report that a source connected to the responders “said there were multiple cuts on one of her wrists,” though the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirms they received a 911 call for a possible overdose at 1:15 a.m. She is reportedly safe now.

A lawyer for Paris’ grandmother Katherine Jackson told New York Daily News, “She’s suffered with the loss of her father, but we don’t know what she was exposed to that precipitated this.” Mother Debbie Rowe spoke with Entertainment Tonight, saying her daughter had “a lot going on [lately].” A source close to the family also evidently told ET that Paris attempted suicide because she was denied permission to attend Marilyn Manson’s June 6 concert with Alice Cooper at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. TMZ backs up this claim as well, reporting that she “threw a fit” upon receiving the news.

On Twitter yesterday, Jackson posted a series of messages that alluded to her being unhappy, at one point quoting the Beatles song, “Yesterday.”
