OutKast’s Andre to Release ‘Class of 3000’ Soundtrack

Andre Benjamin, known to OutKast disciples as Andre 3000 and to Cartoon Network viewers as the voice of Class of 3000‘s protagonist Sunny Bridges, is gearing up to release Class of 3000: Music Volume One, a collection of tunes he exclusively wrote for the aforementioned television series, set to drop to store shelves July 3 via La Face. The album, in addition to featuring the vocals of Bridges (Andre 3000), also showcases contributions from additional characters, including students of Bridges, who acts as a retired music superstar who returns to his hometown to teach musical wunderkinds at the Westley School for the Performing Arts. The 14-track affair includes songs with titles like “Throwdown,” “Oh Peanut,” “We Want Your Soul,” “Banana Zoo,” “UFO Ninja,” “Kim Kam Jam,” and “The Crayon Song.” Class of 3000 is now moving into its second season and airs Thursdays at 7 P.M. (EST/PST) on the Cartoon Network.
