Despite the fact that her upcoming LP Tough Love boasts collaborators as varied as Miguel, British beatmaker Julio Bashmore, and Blood Orange's Dev Hynes, Jessie Ware has seemed most excited about a co-write from one of her stranger cohorts—chart-topping pop folkie Ed Sheeran. "Say You Love Me," the Sheeran-aided track that Ware says "elevated the way [she] sings", premiered today on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.
Aside from a BenZel production credit, it doesn't boast any of the more critically respected names that show up elsewhere on the record. But like "Share It All" before it, the song boasts a yearning vocal part and a uplifting instrumental that mark it among the more skyward-gazing tracks Ware has issued to date. Listen below and catch Tough Love October 6 in the U.K. and October 21 in the U.S. via PMR/Island.
