  • To celebrate the new year, Lady Gaga announced the release date for her new album, Born This Way, and its first single. The LP drops May 23 and its still unnamed single will be released on February 13. [MTV]

  • Rock legend Chuck Berry, the author of songs like "Johnny B. Goode" and "Roll Over Beethoven," collapsed onstage during a performance Saturday at Chicago's Congress Theatre. An hour into the show, the 84-year-old slumped over an accompanist's keyboard before being helped offstage. He refused to be taken to the hospital and is now resting at home in St. Louis.   • New Year's Eve was packed with special hip-hop performances. Drake sang "Fancy" on Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking Eve special in Los Angeles, and Jay-Z and Beyonce dueted on "Forever Young" in Las Vegas. Watch the vids at Nah Right.

  • Blink-182 have revealed details for their upcoming reunion album, expected in June. Guitarist-vocalist Tom DeLonge said the LP features the tracks "Up All Night," "Ghost on the Dancefloor," and "Genesis (Snake Charmer)," which he said is "about Adam and Eve." [Blink-182 Online]

  • Muse are ready to take their space-rock sound to a whole new audience. "We've had some discussions about playing in space. Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real," said frontman Matt Bellamy.
