Inside the Dell Dome

Peek inside the Dell Dome, an interactive music experience that's making an impact this summer at festivals nationwide.

Peter Gaston // August 5, 2008

Lollapalooza ’08 marked the festival debut of the Dell Dome, a can’t-miss experience for fans that’s setting up shop all around the country this summer. With bands stopping by for interviews, tattoo artists, button-making, live painting, loads of computers, and, most thankfully, air conditioning, the Dome offers a high-tech escape from the festival chaos and unique entertainment for festivalgoers.

In the video below, watch’s Peter Gaston chat with Dell Dome host Jonny Santos and Mike Ming, the creative force behind the Dome’s live painting, about what’s in store for festival fans who drop by. And if you missed it at Lollapalooza, the Dome is making the following festival stops this summer:

August 9-10, Virgin Mobile Festival, Baltimore, MD
August 22-24, Outside Lands, San Francisco, CA
August 30-Sept. 1, Bumbershoot, Seattle, WA
Sept. 13-14, Monolith, Morrison, CO
Sept. 26-28, Austin City Limits, Austin, TX
