  • Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has teamed up with British upstarts The Vaccines for a new track, titled "Tiger Blood." The collab makes sense: Hammond Jr. has also produced music for rising bands like The Postelles. No word on when the song will be released. "We really like the idea of working with other creative people and obviously, being a massive fan of the Strokes, it wasn't something we were gonna say no to," the Vaccines' Justin Young told NME (via Some Kind of Awesome).
  • New York pop-rockers The Drums have launched an online video series leading up to the release of their second album Portamento. In episode one, the group performs the new tune "What You Were," which you can watch below. Episodes will be released every Tuesday; the album drops on September 6.

  • Charlotte Gainsbourg will release a new EP, titled Terrible Angels, on September 6. The set features two unreleased studio songs, two live recordings, and two videos, including the title track, co-written and produced by Beck. Check out the video for that song over at Pitchfork. In November, Gainsbourg will also release a double album, titled Stage Whisper, which includes collabs with Beck, Noah and the Whale, and The Villagers' Conor O'Brien.
