And it seemed like Pete Doherty was doing so well after he managed to accept an award and perform with his band during the NME Awards last week.
But, as the world has come to expect, Doherty’s time away from trouble didn’t last. The Babyshambles singer was arrested Monday night (Feb. 27) on suspicion of stealing a car and being in possession of drugs, according to the Associated Press.
Three individuals, including Doherty, were arrested in Birmingham after British police received a report that a car was stolen in London. They were all released on bail, but Doherty may face jail time. When the singer was convicted of drug possession earlier this month (and sentenced to 12 months of community service), the judge warned him that if he broke the drug rehab requirement of his sentence, he would have to go back to court and could end up in jail.
