The Get Up Kids Reunite in Kansas City!

Sunday night, Kansas emo icons the Get Up Kids succumbed to two very common rock’n’roll trends of the moment: First, they reunited, and second, they played one of their albums in its entirety. But who are we to complain? At a semi-secret show for about 300 people at Kansas City’s Record Bar, the Kids were certainly alright, performing their genre-defining 1999 album, Something to Write Home About.

If you’re a fan who missed the show, don’t fret: According to the Kansas City Star‘s music blog, Back to Rockville, the band will be touring extensively next year behind Vagrant Records’ deluxe, 10th anniversary reissue of Something (which will include a DVD and photo book).

Visit Back to Rockville for the full setlist, and check out video below from last night’s show!
