It comes as no surprise, but Dylan Baldi is way more comfortable with Cloud Nothings' new material than he was a year ago. Last year at SXSW, the Cincinnati group's frotman teased their new album Here and Nowhere Else with an acoustic performance of "Psychic Trauma," a more reserved take than what would end up on the electric LP. Recently, though, Baldi stopped by Boston's RadioBDC for a stripped-down set that brings a lot of the record's fire, even without the added distortion, mainly through his rough-around-the-edges vocals. He may not seem too relaxed performing alone in a brightly lit office as opposed to a club with the rest of the band, but Baldi really delivers. Check out his renditions of "I'm Not Part of Me," "Psychic Trauma," and "Now Here In" and see for yourself.
