CHVRCHES Gracefully Introduce 'The Mother We Share' on 'Fallon'

Synth-y Scots preview LP 'The Bones of What You Believe'

Let there be no more lingering confusion: It's pronounced "Churches," no matter what that old-fashioned "v" might imply to you. If CHVRCHES' performance last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon accomplished nothing else, it was that bit of pronunciation-'splaining for People Who Only Read Things on the Internet, courtesy of their host's introduction. The Scottish synth-pop group also pulled off a restrained but effective rendition of breakout song "The Mother We Share," which is expected to appear on debut album The Bones of What You Believe, out on September 24 via Glassnote. "The way is long but you can make it easy on me," singer Lauren Mayberry cooed with grace. You know what else would make the time between now and September 24 easier? Maybe a TV performance of fellow CHVRCHES stunner "Recover."
