Spend enough nights at the club and they all start to blur together a little. At least that would appear to be the thought behind the new video for “After the Disco,” title track to the Broken Bells’ album from earlier this year. In the clip, singer James Mercer leaves a nightclub performance, steps out through a rainy night and into a woman’s apartment. But he does each step about a half-dozen times each, seemingly walking in a continuous loop for virtually entire the video. At least, until bandmate Danger Mouse walks through the door instead, puts on a record in the woman’s apartment, and heads back out through the night and into the performance at the venue, closing the loop in the process.
