  • Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce flaunted a very visible baby bump. After her performance, the pregnant singer unbuttoned her jacket and rubbed her tummy, as the camera panned to an elated Jay-Z, who received a congratulatory "hey, Dad!" slap on the back from his pal and collaborator Kanye West. Earlier this summer, Beyonce, 29, said, "I feel like a woman. I feel like I'm very aware of who I am. I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite -- but you're young enough to be a young woman... I'm so looking forward to it." [MTV]

  • Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars and director Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation) were married Saturday in a intimate ceremony in Bernalda, Italy, where Coppola's father, director Francis Ford Coppola, owns a 19th-century villa. The couple, who already have two daughters together (Romy and Cosima), invited some 80 guests, including Star Wars director George Lucas. [People]

  • Parisian singer Charlotte Gainsbourg, the daughter of the legendary French crooner Serge Gainsbourg, is previewing her upcoming album Stage Whisper, an 18-track collection of live and unreleased songs out November 18, with the song "White Telephone."   • Jane's Addiction were forced to cancel their appearances at England's Reading and Leeds music festivals this weekend due to Perry Farrell's illness.When the band began warming up backstage, the singer stepped to the mic and "literally nothing came out of his voice," says guitarist Dave Navarro. "A doctor diagnosed Perry with an upper respiratory infection and told him that speaking, let alone singing, was out of the question...
