Aye Nako describe themselves as "four weirdos trying to find their confidence/sexuality/harmony/pay day." But if the Brooklyn pop-punks are sure of one thing, it's their sound. "For the Inverted," the first single off the hooky outfit's upcoming debut full-length, Unleash Yourself, proudly follows in the tradition of Superchunk-inspired acts that lather sugary melodies in gallons of fuzz and heartfelt sincerity. Lead singer Mars, a master at drawing out vowels, puts it perfectly: "Reel me in / I feel it's true."
