In the ‘Afterworld’ with Tiger Army

With “Afterworld,” SoCal punk mainstay Nick 13 and his Tiger Army return to the band’s characteristic sonic imprint: countrified, careening psychobilly numbers replete with chatting electric guitars and the frontman’s endearing vocals. Pulled from Tiger Army’s latest and fourth album to date Music from Regions Beyond, out this week via Tim Armstrong’s Hellcat imprint, “Afterworld” (with AFI’s Davey Havok on backing vocals) kicks off with a melodic acoustic guitar strum, reminiscent of Leftover Crack’s “Gang Control,” and rolls through a rousing backbeat of punk power chords, slick fingerings, and straining vocal belts. Download Tiger Army’s “Afterworld” and be sure to meet the band in Regions Beyond this summer for a live set on the Vans Warped Tour.
