Jesus And Mary Chain Officially Announce New Album Damage and Joy, Out March 24

Next year, the great Scottish proto-shoegaze motorcycle reverb rockers Jesus and Mary Chain will release Damage and Joy, their first album since Munki in 1998. The news comes after Creation Records founder Alan McGee hinted at a new record, and a representative of the band confirmed to SPIN that one was on the wayDamage and Joy will arrive March 24 via ADA/Warner Music.

Update: “Amputation,” the first song on the album, premiered on Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6 Music radio show. Listen to a radio rip below.
