Chicago’s young talent has had a strong Q2 and Q3 with Mick Jenkins, Jamila Woods, and Joey Purp all releasing exceptional projects. On November 11, Chicago-based producer oddCouple will drop Liberation, a compilation album that features Milwaukee’s WebsterX, standout Illinois native Kweku Collins, Woods, Purp, and Jenkins, in addition to a few others. The first helping from Liberation is Woods and Collins’s “Love Above,” a dulcet “The Love Below”-sampling track that’s available for streaming below.
