Longtime DFA stalwart Shit Robot has enlisted Hot Chip‘s Alexis Taylor for his new melancholic, disco-tinged house jam “End Of the Trail” — and no, they haven’t capitalized on the connection to become Hot Shit Robot — off of his forthcoming LP, What Follows (due May 6). The duo have now released a video for the track, an abstract artistic rendering of Taylor’s singing face directed by Kevin McGloughlin: a winning combination of Mondrian-esque color-blocking and Toysmith classic pin art, the clip is utterly transfixing.
