Kendrick Lamar Unleashes Intense, New ‘Untitled 2′ on ‘Fallon’

This guy's just full of surprises, huh

It’s been almost ten months since Kendrick Lamar dropped SPIN’s favorite album of 2015, but he hasn’t slowed down an inch, presenting a new “short film” on New Year’s Eve entitled “God Is Gangsta” (functionally a video for the To Pimp a Butterfly tracks “u” and “For Free?”), and now an intense new song called “Untitled 2″ that he debuted last night on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, which you can watch below. From the performance, it’s clear that he’s been writing even tighter in sync with his live backing band.

The rapper also sat down for an interview discussing the possibility of breaking Michael Jackson’s record of Grammy nominations and his own history of playing video games, inspired by a mashup of good kid, m.A.A.d. City ‘s “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and Mario Kart music. Watch those clips below as well.
