New BFFs Miley Cyrus and Joan Jett Perform Together in a Backyard

Proving that rock can transcend a couple-decades age difference, Miley Cyrus and the legendary Joan Jett had a terrific performance together last month at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Well, apparently the two liked collaborating, because the punk icon visited Cyrus’ backyard to play together once more. The pair’s raw energy and easy chemistry was as great as ever, and they aced “Different” off of Jett and the Blackhearts’ 2013 album, Unvarnished.

The performance was the first entry in a series for the Happy Hippy foundation, a non-profit started by Cyrus that aims to rally “young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.” Watch this generation-spanning gig for a good cause over on the foundation’s Facebook page.
