Chief Keef Arrested Near Atlanta for Disorderly Conduct
Chicago rapper was released early this morning
Chief Keef has once again run afoul of the authorities. As the Chicago Sun-Times reports, the Chicago rapper was arrested near Atlanta yesterday on a charge of disorderly conduct.
The 17-year-old MC spent from about 4:30 p.m. yesterday to 3:41 a.m. this morning in a Dekalb County jail, after being arrested in the northern Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody, Georgia, official records reportedly show. Dunwoody police wouldn’t comment to the Sun Times on what the rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, is specifically accused of doing wrong. Cozart’s Chicago lawyer told the paper this morning he was unaware of the arrest.
Chief Keef released his SPIN Essential major-label debut album Finally Rich in December. He got out of juvenile detention in mid-March, after serving a two-month sentence for violating his probation from a previous gun conviction. He has continued to appear on new music in recent weeks, including Gucci Mane collaboration “Darker” and his own “Where He Get It” video, with a new mixtape called Bang Pt. 2 set to arrive soon.
