In addition to her slot as the musical guest, Charli XCX also played (get this) a singing meatball that grew out of cast member Sarah Sherman's armpit. Yes, you read correctly. As for the music portion of the show, Charli XCX performed "Beg for You and "Baby." This was the pop star's second appearance on SNL, following her 2014 debut. Earlier this year, Katy Perry made her performance one to remember with some interesting backup dancers; Måneskin made an electric debut, and Bleachers ensured their first time on the show was a memorable one by bringing out some special guests, including Jack Antonoff’s dad during “How Dare You Want More.” Charli XCX is gearing up to release her latest album CRASH on March 18 before hitting the road at the end of the month.
