June 18-27- Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth will be celebrated in Pittsburgh in 2021 from 18-27th June. The main feature will be freedom day festivals and black music festivals, among others. Live music, educational speakers, food vendors, and more will ensure the event goes as planned.

June 24-27- Pittsburgh Black Music Festival

Pittsburgh’s Black Music Festival presents various genres of music from June 24th to 27 at Point State Park featuring all the different music genres like gospel, blues, and jazz music, among others.

June 24-26- Allegheny Overlook Pop-Up Park Grand Opening

Summer in the city features lives music on the river, with three nights of free concerts. It is a great way to enjoy the theme of the locals.

The Allegheny Overlook Stage is a place for artists and cultural organizations to come together and create events for all ages.

Summer Fridays at the Frick is a virtual presentation of Summer Nights at the Frick, presented in partnership with the City of Asylum. Cast in Chrome is a free online performance series inspired by the historical and current exhibitions in the US showcasing 1800 to 1900 outdoor girls bring the sports and ornaments authenticity.

Experience the Carrie Blast Furnaces at a drive-in from May to October. The line-upline-up and features are to die for, and you cannot afford to miss out on the fun. Drive-ins are fun for the whole family. Each night, guests can enjoy a movie with a pre-event activity.

Weekends in June- Kennywood Bites & Pints Festival
The Kennywood Food & Wine Festival is back! It’s a must-visit event for foodies and tickle and thrills their taste buds. Guests can sample different dishes, including carne asada and shrimp skewers, bao buns, and crepes, and enjoy their favorite wine as they enjoy other and fantastic live music performances by different music artists.

Different dates in June-September- Allegheny County Summer Concert Series

The summer concert series is back, with different live performances scheduled throughout the summer, including Spin Doctors.  The first show of the season at South Park is on June 4th, with a performance by the Pittsburgh Opera. On June 6th, the Hartwood Acres series will start officially with Truth and Rites.

July 4TH -July Celebration

Point State Park presents a spectacular fireworks display over the water on July 4th. This free event is held at the Point State Park’s Picnic Area, offering food vendors and patriotic music from 6 till 10 p.m, and at the twilight, fireworks will start.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s free Jazz program returns for ten weeks this summer. The event is held every Tuesday at the Allegheny Overlook Pop-Up Park. BNY Mellon presents JazzLive, a program that features some of the region’s finest jazz musicians. Some featured artists include; Roger Humphries, James Johnson III, Kenia, Nol Quintana, and Thomas Wendt.

September 10TH- 12TH- Barrel and Flow Festival

The Black brew festival, previously known as Barrel & Flow, has rebranded to celebrate all things Black in the brewing industry. The event features a full line-upline-up of artists, musicians, and local brews.

September 17TH-19TH- Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival
