Bamboozle Adds Kreayshawn, Jimmy Eat World, Other Strange Bedfellows

This year’s Bamboozle is once again shaping up to have one of the more unpredictable lineups of the coming festival season. Emo veterans Jimmy Eat World, heartland pop-rockers the All-American Rejects, YouTube rap sensation Kreayshawn, mixtape phenom A$AP Rocky, and R&B hitmaker Mike Posner are among more than 60 acts just added to a bill that already includes previously announced headliners Foo Fighters, Blink-182, Skrillex, Incubus, Mac Miller, and Bon Jovi. Yes, you read that list right.

The latest Bamboozle additions only get weirder from there. As the Star Ledger notes, the festival will feature the turntable talents of Jersey Shore‘s DJ Pauly D — well, the festival is being held on the Jersey Shore, after all. Comedian Andrew Dice Clay will also join a lineup that includes Sailesh the Uncensored Hypnotist, who previously hypnotized Bamboozle-goers last year.

Set for May 18-20, Bamboozle heads back to Asbury Park, New Jersey, this year, after six years at the Meadowlands Sports Complex. The full lineup, posted here, also includes such returning bands as Minneapolis pop punkers Motion City Soundtrack, venerable New Jersey punks the Bouncing Souls, growling Emmure, bubblegum-sweet Never Shout Never, and more. As the Star-Ledger points out, the festival has shifted from a rock focus to a greater emphasis on rap, R&B, and dance acts over the years, a change exemplified by “Cooler Than Me” guy Posner’s rise from an early slot two years ago to main-stage billing this year.
