Ahead of the June 24 release of her next Loma Vista album, Sometimes, Forever, Soccer Mommy has dropped a new single, “Bones.” The song was originally written for an unnamed romantic comedy but frontwoman Sophie Allison decided to hold it back for Sometimes, Forever, which was produced by Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin.

“‘Bones’ is a song about struggling with the parts of yourself that you don’t like in a relationship,” she says. “It’s about wanting to become better for someone and feeling like you’re standing in your own way.” For the song’s accompanying video, Allison teamed with previous collaborator Alex Ross Perry for a performance-centric clip that also finds her strolling through a cemetery.

Adding to previously announced summer dates in the U.K. and Europe, Soccer Mommy will begin a North American tour on Oct. 28 in Indianapolis. A portion of proceeds from ticket presales through the group’s website will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
