A dress-wearing Post Malone played the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time last night, where he treated fans to songs off his upcoming album Twelve Carat Toothache, including the debut of “A Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol,” which features vocals from Fleet Foxes‘ Robin Pecknold. He told Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show that he was planning on bringing Pecknold up for the song.

Malone also performed “Cooped Out,” his newly released song with Roddy Ricch.

Twelve Carat Toothache is slated for a June 3 release. Watch Post Malone and Fleet Foxes perform “A Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol,” and “Cooped Up,” below.

Post Malone has been outspoken about his Fleet Foxes fandom and was almost featured on the band’s 2020 album Shore.

“He came by the studio for one day while we were working in L.A. and listened to stuff and was super supportive,” Pecknold said at the time. “We didn’t get together in time because I wanted to get the album out quickly, but I did ask him to be on it. He was down, but we just didn’t end up having time.”

Fleet Foxes head out on their first tour since 2017 this summer. Check out a full list of dates here.
