St. Vincent Wins Best Alternative Music Album Grammy

St. Vincent won Best Alternative Music Album for Daddy’s Home during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony earlier today (April 3) at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Conference Marquee Ballroom. Daddy’s Home was co-produced by St. Vincent’s Annie Clark and Jack Antonoff and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. Later in the pre-show, Antonoff won the Grammy for producer of the year (non-classical).

St. Vincent previously won Best Alternative Music Album for its 2015 self-titled project and Best Rock Song for “Masseduction” at the 2019 Grammys. The group begins a summer tour June 22 at the U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival and will open a host of upcoming dates for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Roxy Music.

The Grammys air live on CBS beginning at 8pm ET and will be hosted by Trevor Noah. Jon Batiste leads all nominees with 11 and won four during the pre-show. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. have eight nominations, while Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are up for seven awards apiece.

Among the performers confirmed to appear are Eilish, Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, Silk Sonic (who will open the show), Batiste, Brothers Osborne, BTS, Brandi Carlile, H.E.R., Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, Nas, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and John Legend.
