Miley Cyrus Cancels Festival Appearance After Plane Struck by Lightning

The singer, her crew, band, and friends are safe

Miley Cyrus‘ plane made an emergency landing after being struck by lightning in flight to Asunción last night.

Cyrus, her crew, band, friends, and family that were traveling with her are all safe. The Bangers singer posted on Instagram to tell her fans about the news and their safety. She had to cancel her show in Asunción, Paraguay.

“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting. My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay.”

Cyrus is currently touring in South America, and is still scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza Brasil on March 26.
