Grammy-winning artists Brandi Carlile, Shawn Colvin, Jason Isbell along with a long list of others will join the lineup for the virtual benefit concert MusiCares: Music on a Mission on March 30. Along with countless household music names in the lineup, the event also will feature a never-before-seen 2017 MusiCares performance from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Also on the lineup are k.d. lang, Jesse & Joy, Fantastic Negrito, Gian Marco, Dante Spinetta, Amythyst Kiah, morgxn, Zach Person, Emily Wolfe and Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums

The virtual show is designed to celebrate the power of music and honor Joni Mitchell, the 2022 MusiCares Person of the Year honoree. All proceeds from the event will go to those in need in the music community. Music on a Mission began in March 2021 in response to the drastic economic impact the pandemic had on music industry workers such as live event professionals, tour crews, songwriters, producers, engineers, performers, and support staff.

“Music on a Mission started as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and we were blown away by the support from the music community, industry professionals, and of course music fans,” said Laura Segura, executive director of MusiCares. “We’re so thankful that Gibson recognizes the importance of this event to both fans and professional musicians and that they’ve signed on to help us make Music on a Mission a reality again this year.”

The virtual broadcast comes ahead of Grammy week, where today’s biggest stars will perform and members of the music community who have been helped by MusiCares will share testimonials. The Grammys will take place in Las Vegas on April 3.
