Paramore went on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to perform their latest single, “Rose-Colored Boy.” The song, which dresses up its lyrics about depression and anxiety with bright melodies and playful instrumentation, gets an extra layer of sunny presentation in the live performance. The set is bathed in a pink light while lead singer Hayley Williams dances and sings in a brightly-colored, pea soup green coat, and yellow shirt. “Rose-Colored Boy” is one of the best singles from last year’s stellar album After Laughter, and the performance on Colbert illustrates the songs charm.
