Brian Wilson has postponed his scheduled Pet Sounds performances for May due to a back problem requiring a medical procedure. In a note posted to Twitter on Tuesday (May 1), Wilson explained his long affliction, explaining it has “very recently gotten worse” and apologizing to his fans.

According to the note, Wilson’s back problem — for which he’s had surgery at least once before, in 2012 — explained that it “runs in the family. [My brother] Carl had back problems as well.” However, it seems the rescheduling process is underway for any fans who’ll have to miss seeing the former Beach Boy this month.
