Watch Julien Baker Return to NPR for a Masterful Tiny Desk Concert

Julien Baker‘s sweet and sensitive voice graced the NPR Tiny Desk Concert series once more this week. Baker first appeared there in 2016, in support of her debut album Sprained Ankle. Her return performance, this time in support of her sophomore album Turn Out the Lights, is delicate and impressive, and her stripped down instrumentation is a perfect fit for the small stage. Baker switches between the piano, the acoustic guitar, and a looped electric guitar, and is accompanied by her touring violinist, Camille Faulkner. But of course, as with her Colbert appearance last week, the standout instrument is her powerful vocals. Watch the performance below.
