Here’s a gift to you from Chance the Rapper and Jeremih: An all-new sequel to last year’s joyful, holiday-themed collaborative mixtape Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama. The new collection, subtitled ReWrapped, features nine new songs and closes with “R U Live,” featuring fellow Chicagoan and rising rapper Valee. According to Chance’s Instagram, Common and Lena Waithe recorded drums for the project.
Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: ReWrapped is available to stream via Power 92 Chicago host DJ Pharris, who debuted the project on air last night. It’s a clean edit appropriate for all kinds of holiday occasions. Listen below, and revisit the 2016 edition of Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama here.
Update (5:30 p.m. ET): An unedited version of the new mixtape is now available as a free download from Chance’s website, presumably for a limited time (“Get it while u can,” Chance tweeted).
