John Cale is set to perform a series of celebration shows in Brooklyn next week for the 50th anniversary of the Velvet Underground‘s iconic banana-covered album The Velvet Underground and Nico. Just ahead of the performance, Cale has shared a long lists of performers joining the three-night performance, as Pitchfork reports. Animal Collective, Sky Ferreira, MGMT, Kurt Vile, The Oh Sees, Connan Mockassin, Caroline Polachek, and TV On The Radio‘s Tune Adebimpe will each perform at the event, now billed as “John Cale’s 75th Birthday Celebration: A Live Audio-Spectrum from Dissonance to Deconstruction.” The three-day event will take place from November 16-18.
