The first trailer was released today for Phantom Thread, an upcoming film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and scored by Radiohead‘s Jonny Greenwood. The movie stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Lesley Manville, and will be out in select theaters on Christmas Day. Phantom Thread is the most recent film in a long line of collaborative projects between Anderson and Radiohead: Greenwood scored 2007’s There Will Be Blood, 2012’s The Master, and 2014’s Inherent Vice, and Anderson directed a documentary on Junun, Greenwood’s album with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur. Anderson also directed videos for “The Numbers,” “Present Tense,” and “Daydreaming” off of Radiohead’s 2016 album A Moon Shaped Pool. Watch the Phantom Thread trailer below.
