Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ new song makes their previous single “Holy Mountain” look downright interesting, doesn’t it? “Fort Knox,” the opening track from Gallagher’s forthcoming album Who Built the Moon?boasts ambulance-siren strings and a knocking, hip-hop-inspired beat that feel like video game title screen music. It’s fine for a intro track, but then, reaching for the intro track as a second promotional single isn’t exactly promising.

In a press release, Gallagher said “Fort Knox” was sparked by a conversation about the Kanye West song “Power,” which Gallagher calls “The Power.” Anyway, listen below.
