Before the Super Bowl kicked off tonight, Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones—aka the Schuyler sisters in Hamilton—sang “America the Beautiful.” During their performance, they ad-libbed “sisterhood” onto the line “And crown thy good with brotherhood,” a tweak that can’t be read as apolitical.
