Charli XCX performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this past Tuesday, though clips from the show only hit the internet last night. The two-song set included a solo version of “After the Afterparty,” and the formal debut of another new song, “Bounce,” a creaky pop rave that pulls from various strands of contemporary dance music. It all went down on a stage that brings a new meaning to “wall to wall carpeting,” with P.C. Music producer A.G. Cook pretending to be passed out on set.
Charli’s new, as-yet-unannounced album is expected out sometime this year, with a possible mixtape preceding it. Watch her perform “After the Afterparty” and “Bounce” for the Kimmel audience below.
