Hulu has released the first look at its adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale. Among the most-anticipated television to drop this year, the dystopian saga comes by way of Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel of the same name. Elisabeth Moss stars as the central character named Offred, who battles a puritanical totalitarian government called The Republic of Gilead—formerly known as the United States—wherein women have been stripped of all their rights. The series premiers on April 26 on Hulu—the first glimpse of the show is below.
