St. Vincent’s Horror Film Directing Debut Looks Very Creepy

As reported in April, Annie Clark (St. Vincent) has been attached to the horror movie anthology project XX for some time now. Now, Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing have posted the first trailer for the project, which is due out on February 17 in select theaters, VOD and on iTunes. It’s due to premiere as part of the midnight series at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.

As a press release states, the anthology features “four dark tales written and directed by fiercely talented women.” The directors are Clark, Karyn Kusama (The Invitation), Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird), and Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound). Clark’s, which she also cowrote with Roxanne Benjamin, is called “Birthday Party,” and appears to involve a towering figure in a creepy panda suit and some murder.
